Chat Request Monitor

Chat Status

When you first login to the Chat Request Monitor your status is "Online". When you are online visitors to the site will see that there is an agent available for a live chat. Click on the radio button beside the status you wish to appear. If all agents are either not logged in or are in the "Offline" status then visitors to the site will see that the live chat is unavailable.
If you leave your status as "Offline" for a pre-configured amount of minutes (see Preferences for how to set this) then the Chat Request Monitor will automatically close.

Viewing Conversation Requests

The main section of the Chat Request Monitor will show any pending conversation requests. For more information on accepting conversation requests please click here.

Traffic Monitor

The Traffic Monitor lists all visitors currently on the oliver-and-associate.com web site. Visitors are listed by IP address and the Traffic Monitor shows what page they are currently viewing, what page they were previously on (if they clicked a link to get to their current page), and lists options for each visitor.

Footprints

To view a visitor's footprints click on the "Footprints" link beside the visitor's options on the Traffic Monitor tab. A user's footprints shows which pages on the oliver-and-associates.com web site the user has recently visited.

Past Transcripts

To view a visitor's past transcripts click on the "Transcripts" link beside the visitor's options on the Traffic Monitor tab. The number displayed in brackets beside this link is how many past transaction records exist for this visitor's IP address. For more information on viewing transcripts please click here.

Initiating a Chat

To initiate a chat with a visitor click on the "Initiate" link beside the visitor's options on the Traffic Monitor tab. The number displayed in brackets beside this link is how many times a conversation has been initiated, or attempted to be initiated with this visitor by an Agent based on their IP address. Refresh Rate

Click on the "Refresh Rate" tab to set how often the Traffic Monitor should refresh and update visitor information.

  1. Select which type of refresh rate you would like the Traffic Monitor to use. You can either choose to have the Traffic Monitor refreshed any time there is change in traffic (for example a new visitor comes to the page or a visitor leaves the page) or have the Traffic Monitor refresh every 1, 3, 5, or 10 minute interval.

  2. To save your changes click the "Update Changes" button. You will see a message appear on screen indicating that your changes saved successfully

  3. Update Success

Close

To close whatever screen you are on in the Chat Request Monitor click the "Close" tab. You will be taken to the main Chat Request Monitor Screen.

Traffic Monitor Sound

Click on the megaphone icon to toggle sound on an off. When sound is on you will here a doorbell chime each time a visitor comes to the site or leaves the site.

If the sound icon is set to "On" but you are not hearing any chimes make sure your computer speakers are turned on and the volume is turned up.
