Initiating a Conversation
- From the Chat Request Monitor click on the "Traffic Monitor" tab to see visitors currently on the page.

- Each visitor is listed by their IP address
- Click on the "Initiate" link beside the Options for the visitor you wish to initiate a chat with

- Choose which department you would like the transcript for this conversation to be logged under.
- Choose the question or initiate message you would like to start the conversation with. For more information on initiate messages please click here
- Choose which initiate type you would like to send. You can send either a pop-up box or a scrolling image inviting the visitor to engage in a conversation. If the visitor's browser has a pop-up blocker detected then a scrolling image initiate type will be sent instead.
- Click the "Click to initiate chat with visitor." button to sent your chat initiation request to the visitor.
- If the user is already engaged in a live chat then you will see a message indicating such:
