Spam Blocking

Access the Spam Blocking Options

  1. From the Operator Home Pages, click on the "Spam Blocking" link from the menu at the top of any page

Block an IP Address

  1. Enter the IP address you wish to block from viewing online status and requesting online support using the four text boxes on the left-hand side

  2. Enter IP address to block spam

  3. Click on the "Block IP Address" button.

  4. Click "Okay" to block the IP address or "Cancel" to cancel the operation.

  5. Confirm IP address block

  6. The IP address you just blocked will be added to the box on the right-hand side.
  • Blocked IPs will automatically be cleared (unblocked) after 3 days.
  • Blocked IPs are shared and active throughout all departments and operators.
  • Visitors from blocked IP addresses will always see Offline status


Unblock an IP Address

  1. Select the IP address you wish to unblock from the box on the right-hand side

  2. Select IP address to remove from blocked list

  3. Click on the "Remove SELECTED ip from list" link. A prompt will appear asking you to confirm. Click "Okay" to remove the selected IP address from the blocked list or "Cancel" to cancel the operation.

  4. Confirm IP address unblock

  5. The IP address you just blocked will be deleted from the box on the right-hand side.


Blocking The IP Address Of The Visitor You Are In a Chat With

  1. From the chat window, click on the "Spam Block" tab.

  2. Click on the "Click Here to block xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" button (where the visitor's IP address is displayed in place of the xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx.
